It’s Time To Update Your Ingram Micro Feed to SFTP

Ingram Micro is moving to a secure method for delivery of partner plain text product catalogue, price, availability files and business reports. To provide best-in-class secured communication channels, Ingram Micro plans to discontinue the support for FTP protocol and transition to SFTP.

The migration should be completed by 30th July 2021, when the existing FTP server will be decommissioned.

We encourage all Ingram customers to follow these steps as soon as possible to avoid losing your price file

5 Steps to update your Ingram FTP feed with SFTP records

Step 1

Make sure you’ve got your Ingram account number ready and log in to your Stock in the Channel account. Head to the Ingram Micro distributor profile page.
Click the Manage Pricing button (if you cannot see the Manage Pricing button, you will need to speak to your Account Admin to perform this task).

Step 2

Locate the existing FTP Folder/Path details for your feed. You will need this to complete the form on the Ingram page.
Click the button below to open the Ingram page in a new window.

Step 3

Complete the form on the Ingram website, using you account number and folder path, as well as additional business and contact information required.

Step 4

Ingram will then process your new FTP application.

You’ll be send 2 emails, separately containing your new FTP User Credentials and new Password. Don’t panic if these emails take a few days to arrive, your existing feed will continue working.

Step 5

Once you recieve these new details, return to the Ingram Micro distributor profile page and update the password and username fields.
Replace all of the text in the ‘Folder’ field with a single “/” Finally, click the Apply button to save.
